So, the last major MBA entrance of 2016 is over. As declared by SNAP earlier, the test had some major changes this year: 1 marker Reasoning questions in place of 2 markers, 40 Reasoning questions in place of 30, 30 questions in GK in place of 40, only Current Affairs in GK. The overall difficulty level of SNAP 2016 was at par with that of SNAP 2015.
We must NOT compare the cutoffs for SIBM and SCMHRD based on SNAP 2016 with those of SNAP 2015 as in 2015 the total marks was 180 and this year it is 150 for the same number of questions.

SNAP 2016 General English Section Analysis
This section was dominated by vocabulary with as many as 18 out of 40 questions being from this area. There were 2 RC passages of around 550 words each; these passages were taken from The Economist and Sciencedaily. The passages were not very easy to read but the questions based on them were pretty straight forward.

This section has been troubling students for the last 2-3 years in SNAP. Though the marks per question came down to 1 from 2 last year, there was no perceptible change in the difficulty level. There were 10-12 absolutely doable questions here, and the trick was to not miss out on many of them.
